Patricia A. Dulinski

Westfield, New Jersey
Patricia A. Dulinski, Esq., a partner of Di Rienzo, Di Rienzo & Dulinski, PA, chose to focus the practice largely in the area of family law because it is a challenging and dynamic legal environment requiring well-honed negotiation, mediation and litigation skills. "I'm first and foremost an advocate, and in family law matters, each case is important and factually unique. Practicing Family Law allows me the opportunity to be creative in finding solutions, to think imaginatively, and to focus my energy on one objective – achieving the best possible results for my clients," she notes. "Imaginative thinking is very often the difference between a good family law attorney and an excellent one."

Patricia prefers mediation to litigation whenever possible. "Mediation is an excellent tool to assist parties in reaching fair agreements that make sense for their particular situation." She notes that "Unlike other types of litigation, I believe family law practitioners have a heightened responsibility to our clients and their families, particularly in cases involving minor children." Patricia believes that such cases must be handled in a particularly sensitive manner that places the best interests of the children first. "Long after we complete our cases, parties will have to continue to co-parent their children, so it is important for us to approach cases with the future in mind. The mediation process itself educates the parties on how to resolve future conflicts without the need for attorney involvement or judicial intervention."

"Family law entails far more than just a legal procedure and application of case law," she explains. "My clients are dealing with a variety of challenges in their lives. They have to deal with the inevitable stress that results from family conflict, juggle their budgets and jobs, care for their children and often face the prospect of selling their home and moving. In sum, they are confronting total disruption in their lives--today, tomorrow, and well into the future. At the outset, clients are thrown into an arena they do not understand, without the tools they need to protect themselves and their children...That's where I come in." Patricia is admitted to practice in the State of New Jersey and United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
